There was not an iota of thinking if any time I would go to Varanasi and stay for more than a week !!!  Thanks to Dr.Bhaskar and Kala for putting up with me for the last seven days. They made the trip more interesting. I am just going on a freak notes of my last seven days at Varanasi. Day 1- 16th August 2018 Boarded the flight to Varanasi via Delhi. Jet airways :) no questions asked, Delayed departure from Delhi by 3 hours. Reached Varanasi at the venue by 7 pm. All famished and tired because of the long wait and travel truly unaware what's the next day dawns on us. A kinda peaceful feeling but curious mind. Tolerance! Travel hangover from the previous day! haven't slept much. Yet got up to get ready for the rituals and a long arduous journey to Allahabad for Triveni Sangamam. After much of a struggle, succeeded in wearing a 9-yard Saree (which measured maybe 8 yards).  The driver chose to show us the countryside of UP !! annoyed by the body roll in the back seats of Toyota Etios I frowned and asked him why that route, he said that because it is an auspicious Shravan month, thousands of pilgrims walk from Allahabad to Varanasi by road and the highway was closed one side of the National highway !!! How interesting to see the trust and faith in such rituals! the delayed route and bumpy rural roads were no more a concern! After theertha snana Sangalpam, we proceeded to Triveni snanam.  Mind blowing experience. Three boats are anchored in the middle of the river Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati Triveni Sangamam point, other pilgrims' boats are surrounding this fleet of three. At the center

இன்று காலையின் இனிய எண்ணங்கள்.​   தினமும் உற்சாகத்துடன் இருக்க என்ன செய்ய வேண்டும். உண்மையாக வாழ்வை நேசிக்க வேண்டும். இதை   சொல்லாமல் சொல்லி   வலியுறுத்துவது தான் இயற்கையின் நோக்கம் போல!!!!!   வாயிற்படியில் இறங்கி வாசலில் கால் வைக்கும்போது சில் என்ற பனித்துளி நிரம்பிய தென்றல் முகத்தை வருடும் போது , குளிர் குளிர் என்று எண்ணாமல் அனுபவிக்கும்போது தன்னால் மனதில் நேசம் பொங்குகிறது. விரைவாக நடந்து ரயில் நிலையத்திற்கு செல்லும் பொது அந்த கணமே வாழ்வின் மிக முக்கிய கணம் போல தோன்றுகிறது. இந்த ரயிலில் பயணிக்கும்போது படைத்தவனையும் அவனது உயரிய படைப்பான நம்மையும் எண்ணி எண்ணி வியப்பேன் தினமும். எத்தனை வித்தியாசமான முகங்கள் , உடல் அமைப்புகள் , விந்தையான நடைமுறைகள் , தனித்துவமான முக பாவங்கள் !!!!! கோபமாக சிலர் , நம்மை அளவிடுவது போல சிலர் , பெரும்பான்மையான பலர் சின்ன சிரிப்புடன் ஒரு ஸ்னேஹமாக!!!!. உற்சாகத்துடன் ஒரு சந்தோஷ குரலில் ஹாய் என்போர் சிலர். ஒரு ஒரு நாளும்   ஒரு அனுபவம். இந்த ரயில் பயணம் 8 நிமிடங்கள்தான். ஆனால் ஒரு உன்னதமான அனுபவம். ரயிலில் வந்து இறங்கி பல்கலைக்கழக    வளாகத்தில் ​நடந

Train Journey! slow local ! going from one station to the next . enjoyed it thoroughly. It was fascinating and fulfilling! I took a slow local from Santacruz to Elphinstone, starting from buying the ticket, climbing up the staircases,escalators, busy people, backpacks on the front,  (when asked one girl replied for safety reasons) but , a big but,there is a big difference in the 20 years.  the noise of chattering has come down to a greater extent. do I say thanks to technology !! or feel sad that technology has isolated individuals ..... Either busy listening to songs, few pretending to listen to, few people speaking from their late monthly cycle to mom in law's issues, everything under the Sun, oblivious to others,... Casual conversation and getting to know one another and help one another, all fading slowly in the distant horizon. Hindsight !!!      Why not think in these terms, world has become compact in a palm size equipment, you don't need to take time off

Little nuances of life! February 16, 2018 It is truly interesting ! Volunteering for a friend to invite and confirm invitees for the launch which is inaugurated by the highest office of our country,I randomly called many CEOs, HODs and Bureaucrats offices. Every office, the PS or EA very politely listen and when I say 'Hey Sorry about last minute calling for RSVP bcz it involves none other than the Nation's guardians for whom we were waiting for confirmation". You know , the responses were almost,' yeah we can understand', and there was a empathic concern and lo!! quick responses!!! I feel, these unknown faces and voices resonate a kind of camaraderie !!!! A subtle friendship floats from the core of their being!!  yet another form of warmth & love! Cheers, Jayy

I Care ! do I Really care! July 30th 2018 Walk alongside the road, beach, railway stations, schools, temples, shops do I care ? What's it  I am asking? Do I really care? One look at the things around, people around, one conscious look is enough to change what I can, but do I really care? A look beyond myself, a look into the society I live in, the people I live with, the words I utter, the money I spend, the food I waste, the time I indulge in, where am I going?  I have asked myself these questions, many times.  Many a times  positive stimulation to be of some use to a worthy cause ,  many a times helplessness leads to frustration. Oh no ! no frustration.  A feeling of shame creeps in. Journey on the Road of Life October 28, 2017- Life ! . Life is a  highway going uphill and downhill with turns and bends, with potholes and dead ends..... Speed breakers cause a lot harm to the smooth ride as it brings life almost to a halt and to pick speed where we were, it takes time, effort and energy. Fascinating journey of relationships what makes life interesting I guess. Each and every one who crosses our path has lot to offer. Wisdom , love, hate, greed, all abstracts come into our life unknowingly,  and we imbibe them unconsciously like a careless driver on the road. A small wrong turn changes life 180 degrees! Before we breathe again, the vehicle of life has moved, taking away precious time to the next sign post.
